Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with every scalp type and texture, but everything changed when my best friend (someone I’ve known since childhood) was diagnosed with skin cancer on her scalp and underwent two intense Mohs procedures. Watching her go through that pain, knowing it could’ve been prevented with better awareness and protection, was a wake-up call.

Then, another stylist; a colleague and friend… was diagnosed shortly after. It was no longer a coincidence. It was a pattern. And it was being ignored.
